Designing the Perfect Retirement
Transform your retirement into a fulfilling adventure. Organise your days, discover new passions, and embrace this exciting chapter of life.
A conversation with my father-in-law and numerous messages from clients alerted me to the confusion often surrounding how time management changes once you enter your retirement chapter.
Retirement can be a stressful time. There’s a sense of relief that your time is now yours, but with that comes the realisation that you are now completely in control of your time.
No more meetings, no more having to wake up to an alarm clock, and no more bulging inboxes of stuff.
What will you do with all that time?
While doing my research, what struck me most was that when you think about it, we go through our lives with practically no control over our calendars. At school, our days are dictated to us by our classes. When we start working, our calendars fill up with meetings, and we need to be at work at a set time, five days a week.
When we retire, it’s the first time that we have complete control over our calendars, and that can be scary.
How will we organise our days? What will we do all day? Will I have enough money to support my dependent family members and me? It is a very scary time.
And so, largely for my father-in-law, but also for anyone else who is going through the transition from a full-time working life to retirement, I have put together this special course.
The Designing The Perfect Retirement course will help you plan a “perfect” retirement.
It will help you identify what is most important to you, have you list the things you would like to do, and then help you build that into your life so you have some structure, a purpose, and you take care of the three critical mental, physical, and social areas.
Plus, it will explain the dangers of the “sands of time” trap, the “yes paradox” and the “doomscrolling trap" so you don’t fall victim to any of them.
If you are approaching retirement, or you are already retired and feel you’re missing out on something, this course will help you focus on what matters to you so you can have fun and live a long, healthy life.
